Hello crafty friends! It's Beata June here, and today I'm sharing how I made this hug-filled koala slimline card.
Step 1: I stamped the koalas, tree, branches and leaves from the My Favorite Things Koala-ty Time clear stamp set using a Gina K Obsidian Amalgam Ink pad and my Misti stamping tool, colored the stamped images with copic markers and cut them out.
Step 2: To make my background, I cut out three circles with a circle stitched die, and blended the circles with Tim Holtz Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide using Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Blender Brushes. Then I added white and blue dots on my circles with gel pens.
Step 3: I cut out a large slimline panel from pink cardstock using the largest diagonal stitched rectangle die from the Pink Fresh Studios Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die set. Then I cut out a smaller slimline panel from white cardstock using the next largest rectangle die from the Pink Fresh Studios Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die set, and mounted that on to the pink diagonal stitched slimline panel.
Step 4: I glued the three stitched circles onto the white slimline panel, and then glued my koalas, tree, branches and leaves over the circles using a Lawn Fawn glue tube.
Step 5: I stamped the "Sending Hugs for Your Birthday" sentiment from the My Favorite Things Koala-ty Time clear stamp set onto black cardstock using a Lawn Fawn Clear for Embossing ink pad and heat embossed the sentiment with white Lawn Fawn embossing powder. I cut the sentiment into two separate strips and glued them on the outer two stitched circles using a Lawn Fawn glue tube.
Step 6: Lastly, I added white highlights to my colored images using a white gel pen.
