Sew it’s your birthday! by Lieschen

Hi! Thanks for stopping by! I’m really excited to share with you this fun card I made using Lawn Fawn products. I needed to make a cute card for my mother-in-law (who loves to sew) and when I came across this stamp and die set from Lawn Fawn I knew it would make a great card for her.

Step 1: I used my EK Success powder tool on the card stock before I stamp all of my images using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pad Hickory Smoke.

Step 2: After I finished stamping, I stamp once again but this time I used VersaMark to heat emboss the images next.

Step 3: I used the following embossing powders: for the banner: Clear Hologram Sparkle, for the images: Clear Gloss Regular, and for the sentiment on the banner I used Metallic Gold Rich.

Step 4: After I heat embossed everything, I used my Copic markers to color all of the images. I wanted to go with a spring/tea party theme so I used light pink and green colors with a hint of grays.

Step 5: I ran all the small die cuts on my Xyron to have them glued and ready for the assembling part.

Step 6: I created a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ card base using #110 card stock. Then I used my scoring board to score the card.

Step 7: I used my die cutting machine to die cut the front panel of the card using the Large Cross-Stitched Rectangle. Then on the center of the large rectangle I used a large scalloped circle die.

Step 8: The fun part, assembling the card! I glued my cross stitched rectangle on the base on the card and place the rest of the die cut images in the center and around the scalloped circle

Thanks again for stopping by! Have fun being CREATIVE!
