Sizzix & Catherine Pooler Designs | Up and Away

Sizzix & Catherine Pooler Designs | Up and Away

Posted by Colleen Beamish on

Hi there! It’s Colleen Beamish here from @humorbean_cards, and today I’m sharing how to make a clean, one-layer card with a twist—just enough dimension and surprise to keep things interesting!

For this project, I used the Up and Away stamp set along with the coordinating framelit dies. I kept it simple by using just one die—the hot air balloon—which I used to cut a window right into the front of my card base. This created a fun, balloon-shaped peek-through that sets the stage for the rest of the design.

From there, it was all about stamping! I added stamped images and sentiments to both the outside and the inside of the card, so the recipient gets a little surprise when they open it.
