SIZZIX - Thinlits Dies - Mini Slimline & Tickets

Posted by Mary Jo Johnston on

I'm so excited to share with you the new Sizzix Thinlits Mini Slimline Dies!  Don't let the simplicity of this set fool you, the possibilities are endless!

I'm using the Mini Slimline Dies to create a divided scene on the front of my card.  I love this style as it gives you so many options to place multiple images or sentiments and create a visual story.  Imagine a cute ocean scene with stamped images of fish, plants and your sentiment; or a festive carnival scene with a ferris wheel, ticket booth and miniature critters visiting the fair (this one would also be perfect with the second die in the set, the Tickets!)

For this card, begin by die cutting the base using the Mini Slimline.  Remember to place the outside border die around your perforated die to cut the entire block.

From cardstock, cut your card base slightly larger or the same size as your block and adhere your die cut block to the front of the card.

Stamp your selected images and color with Copic markers.

Now, it's time to create your scene!  Use the divided sections to create a scene with your stamped images and sentiments of your choice.  I'm using the Lawn Fawn Year 13 Stamp and Die Set for this adorable food scene.  *Tip: Foam squares for added dimension will make your card pop!

Adhere multiple images in each section and stamp your sentiments to complete the look.

I think this die would also be fabulous backed with multi-colored cardstock to give the circles the look of twinkling or carnival lights!  What would you create with it?

Happy crafting! Mary Jo
