Spellbinders Dancin' Gingerbread

Spellbinders Dancin' Gingerbread

Posted by Misty Lavigne on

Hi there everyone! It's Misty and I'm back with a really fun, interactive gingerbread Christmas card!

For today's project, I used the Dancin' Gingerbread dies from Spellbinders. These cuties are so stinking cute and there are infinite ways to dress them up!

If you know me, you know that I'm obsessed with gingerbread. If I could own all of the gingerbread people and house dies, I would! If you know me, you also know that I lean towards non-traditional Christmas/Holiday colors. I love these bright and vibrant patterns and paired it with the Honeybee Quilted A2 Cover plate When working with patterned paper, remember the rule of 3. You want one large pattern, a medium patter and a small pattern/solid color. For this card, the plaid is my large, the words the medium and I used the cover plate to add a bit of texture to the solid card stock.

I recommend using an adhesive sheet when working with small die cuts. It basically creates a sticker and makes adhering small pieces super simple. I used one from Scrapbook Adhesives and it made assembly quick and easy! I colored several of the Glacier Jewels from Pinkfresh Studio with a Copic Marker.

Be sure to check out the video for further instructions on how to make these cuties dance! I hope this project gets your creativity flowing and gives you a little push to try other colors for the holiday season!
