Spellbinders - Game Day Collection

Posted by Mary Jo Johnston on

Are you ready for the big game?
The Spellbinders Team has you covered!  The new, Game Day Collection has everything you need to get the win!  Cheer on your favorite athlete in a variety of sports with a custom jersey, game ball and the perfect sentiment.
This set is for every sports fan!
Follow our step-by-step instructions to create a variety of projects and surprise your team on game day.
Happy crafting! Mary Jo
Soccer Jersey Card:
Begin by die cutting the jersey in your team's colors.  Add the jersey numbers in two colors, one for the number and one for the shadow background.
Die cut the soccer ball.  The base of your ball will use a white cardstock and the soccer detailed outline will use a black cardstock.  Adhere the pieces together.
For this card, I've used a piece of white cardstock and the Game Day Collection 3D Embossing Folder layered on the base of my card.
The base of your card will be 8.5" x 6", folded in half.  Adhere the textured piece to the base of your card.
Stamp your sentiment onto a tag or sentiment strip.  Using foam dots, adhere the jersey, sentiment and game ball to the front of your card.
Football Jersey Card:
This card has so many possibilities!  Incorporate the colors of your favorite sports team and their home or away jerseys.
I love that Spellbinders has included the detail pieces for the collar and sleeve.  Add a second layer on the edge of the sleeve to show two, coordinating colors on your jersey.
Die cut your football.  The top layer of your football will be brown cardstock and the bottom will be white cardstock.
Choose your sentiment from the All Star Stamps Sentiments and adhere to the top of your card.  Touchdown!
Let's go bowling!
This quick and easy tag comes together in a snap, and makes the perfect addition to a gift bag.
Die cut your bowling pins and adhere to the front of a tag of your choice.  Go classic with your bowling pin stripes or alternate for a fun color combo.
Die cut your bowling ball.  The top cardstock color will be the color of your ball and the bottom will be white or black as your accent color for the holes.
And, last but not least, a favorite sport at our house - volleyball!
Die cut your jersey.  I love that Spellbinders left the sleeves to the jersey as an add on.  This allows you to create all the various uniforms from each sport.  Add your team number and adhere to the front of the jersey.
For the volleyball, I'm using white on white cardstock for a classic ball.  The die easily allows you to incorporate blocks of color or color on the detail.
You're going to score big with this set!
