Spellbinders Hexi-Gems Collection Foiled Cards

Posted by Charlene Madrid on

Hi crafty friends! Charlene here, from the design team. Today I am sharing how to create two foiled cards featuring the Hexi-Gems Collection from Spellbinders! Check out the video tutorial below for all of the details!

To create my first card I used the Hexi-Gem and Hexi-Gems Blooms Glimmer Hot Foil Plates.

First, I foiled the Hexi-Gem onto an A2 sized card panel using blue foil. I then foiled the Hexi-Gems Blooms directly over the blue foil using silver foil.

To finish the card off, I added a foiled sentiment from the Hexi-Gems Sentiments and a few Pinkfresh Studio Glacier Jewels. I love these jewels because they reflect the colors that are near them!

For my second card, I used the Essential Hexi-Gems Dies to create a double layered image.

First I foiled the Hexi-Gems Blooms onto an A2 sized card panel using blue foil. I then used the left over negative foil piece and the Hexi-Gem to foil onto a separate piece of cardstock.

I cut down the foiled negative piece using the Essential Hexi-Gems Dies so that the negative image would line up with the first image I had foiled with the Hexi-Gems Blooms. To add some fun dimension to my card, I popped up the negative piece using Crafty Foam Tape.

To finish things off, I added a foiled sentiment from the Hexi-Gems Sentiments and a few Pinkfresh Studio Sky Blue Jewels.

Happy crafting!

Charlene
