Spellbinders - Layered Wildflowers

Spellbinders - Layered Wildflowers

Posted by Kathy Schweinfurth on

A lovely bouquet of pretty wildflowers is a wonderful birthday gift or something just to brighten someone's day!  The new Spellbinders Wildflowers Collection includes beautiful goodies to create fabulous projects - also to brighten someone's day!

For my card...

1.  I embossed a piece of dark blue cardstock with Spellbinders Flower Frenzy 3D Embossing Folder for the background.

2.  For the backdrop, I cut white cardstock using one of the Pinkfresh Studio Blanket Stitched Octagons dies.

3.  Taking Spellbinders Layered Wildflowers dies, I cut white cardstock and colored the flowers and leaves by blending with Distress Inks (see colors used below) then assembled each flower/stem/leaves.

4.  I arranged them in a bouquet, glued the stems together, then popped up the bouquet onto the backdrop.

5.  Adding a special touch to the bouquet, I created a wax seal using Spellbinders Butterfly Mini Wax Seal Stamp and light blue wax melts in Spellbinders Autumn Must-Have Wax Bead Mix.

6.  To finish, I added the sentiment using Spellbinders Sending Smiles Sentiments Stamp & Die set.
