Spellbinders - Quilty Hugs

Posted by Bridget Casey on

Hello everyone!  Many of us that are paper crafters have other crafty passions as well.  I myself have dabbled in many different crafts over the years, but it always comes back to paper crafts AND quilting!  Spellbinders makes it SUPER simple by combining these two amazing hobbies.

More details below, but check out the video for all the crafty deets!

These new dies are great as they introduce so many to quilting.  You could even make mini quilt squares with these dies out of fabric.  As always, more ideas than I will ever have time for!  Does that ever happen to you?

This card uses gradient cardstock in purple.  I had paper in my stash to use, but you could substitute ink blending or ink dragging onto the pieces.  Two of the blocks fit perfectly onto a mini slimline (6 X 3).  Of course, we need a little shine to complete the project.

For my second project I wanted to use rainbow colors -- who doesn't love a rainbow?  Again, I had colored cardstock but you could use other methods to get the perfect colors for your rainbow.   I finished my card with Organic Linen 3D embossing folder as it reminded me of a quilted block you would find on a quilt.
