Hello crafters and welcome to the ScrapbookPal Blog!
My name is Deepa from @deezinesbyd and I’m excited to share this wildflower card made with a mix of products from Susan Tierney’s Through the Meadow Collection by Spellbinders.
I used a mixed of warm reds, yellows and purples on this card with Pinkfresh Studio inks. These warmer colors really gave me all the feels of spring, which I’m sure a lot of you in colder areas of the world would gladly welcome right now! The key to getting the flowing curves on these daisies is to use the stylus tool included in Susan Tierney’s Ultimate Tool Kit. To see how this card came together, simply click the ScrapbookPal YouTube link below.
I started by cutting out the required amount of each image (specified on the dies) from white cardstock. And I love using the sticky grid mat that goes with the Altenew Stampwheel to hold my die-cuts in place as I ink blend my colors onto the image.
Next, I used the Spellbinders Tool N' One Stylus and the sponge mat from the Ultimate Tool Kit to shape the petals and leaves. These tools, including the reverse grip tweezers, also come in handy while assembling each flower. For the background of my card, I used the Wildly Beautiful embossing folder and added Fantasia VersaFine Clair ink to the flat side of my folder. I used a light purple cardstock panel to give the vibrant results that go so well with these daisies!
And I finished this card off with some Nuvo Dream Drops in the center of the flowers for some sparkle. I hope this card has inspired you to create something similar yourself. Please do check out the tutorial to catch all the tips and tricks as well.
Have a Great Day & Happy Crafting!
