Toss some confetti...

Posted by Shelly Kurth on

Hi y'all!
I'm swinging in on the Scrapbook Pal blog today sharing a fun and simple card, using Catherine Pooler Designs Everybody Say Happy Sentiments. I don't know about you, but who doesn't always need a birthday card? Sometimes I think I have a birthday card, only to realize I don't or that the one card I do have doesn't fit for that person.  So if you're like me and need a quick and easy card, this is for you! With that said, here is my card.
Let's make a card! Follow the steps below to make this fun card.
1. You'll need white cardstock (sized slightly smaller than an A2 or 4" x 5 1/4") and some inks. In this case, I used Catherine Pooler inks. The colors I chose were Bellini, Coral Cabana, and Samba.
2. You'll want to hold your piece of cardstock, place the ink pad near the edge of the cardstock and push down slightly as you're pulling towards you, lifting up the ink pad when the desired 'streak' is achieved. Repeat this with all the colors, slightly overlapping each color.
3. Hot foiling time! I used Spellbinders Yana's Blooms Collection-Splatter Sentiments foil plates with Gold Glimmer Hot Foil. Have fun with the plates, place the splatters where you like, so it resembles confetti.
4. Stamp on the sentiment from Catherine Pooler-Everybody Say Happy Sentiments. As you can see, I chose to use the 'Toss some confetti in the air and celebrate!' sentiment and stamped it in black ink.
5. Lastly, you'll want to make a card base using white cardstock and add some foam squares on the back of the stamped panel and then add it to your base card.
6. You made this card!
