Hi, this is Heidi from Blue Scallop Creations and I have an uplifting card for you today using the Gina K. Be the Rainbow stamp set. This has some wonderful sentiments that can give a loved one hope and encouragement to take on difficult times.
I started off blending some Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink onto a panel of white card stock using an oval shaped stencil. You could also make your own stencil using an oval die and some masking paper or card stock.
Next, I stamped the large rainbow onto a piece of watercolor card stock using Versamark ink. I then heat embossed the image using silver embossing powder and added color with some Nuvo Aqua Flow pens. I painted a layer of water over the rainbow stripes before using the pens to give a softer look. When the image was dry, I cut it out with scissors to add to my card later.
I also heat embossed a couple of the clouds from the set using some blue ink with clear embossing powder on vellum. I trimmed these out with my scissors to add some more texture to my card.
After stamping the sentiment onto some more watercolor card stock, I trimmed it down to a rectangle and added it to the corner of my oval-stenciled card panel using foam tape.
To complete the card, I tucked my stamped elements around the sentiment using tape runner and foam squares. I attached the card panel to a white note card using foam tape and added a few Nuvo drops for more color.
