Hello crafty friends! I hope that you are having a great start to the week! Farhana from Everyday Engineered and I’m so glad to be back here sharing another card with y’all this month! This card was 100% inspired by my recent vacation in Hawaii! I spent most of it on the beach reading a book with the loveliest drinks in hand! Back to the card now!
To create this card :
I started by stamping and coloring a set of images from the Avery Elle Beachy stamp set with copic markers. I cut them out using the coordinating dies.
Next I used distress oxide inks (in Brushed Corduroy, Salvaged Patina, Mermaid Lagoon, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade) to create a sand-sea-sky background. I splattered it with a bit of white and black paint to add some dimension.
Using a basic circle die and wave edge die, I die cut the inked background to create focal point for the card. I played around with the images to see how do create the scene.
I die cut a card front using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ripple Backdrop and embossed the sentiment using Ç onto black card stock strips.
I finished off the card by layering all the pieces, and added the sentiment strips along with some sequins.
Thanks for following along today! I hope that this card inspires you to create something!
Till the next time, take care!
