Concord and 9th Geometric Quilt Card by Katie

Concord and 9th Geometric Quilt Card by Katie

Hey there friends, Katie here today with another fun post for SP!  I have a lovely card today that is fun for quilt makers, floral lovers, or really just any friend in your life.   I do hope you like it!

I used two primary products for this card from Concord and 9th and they have so much possibility because you can use them in so many ways.  The products are the C&9 Hello Wishes Stamp Set and the C&9 Geometric Quilt Top Die

First things first, I designed the card around the die and I wanted to pick some fun papers to make a bright and happy background.  I die cut the background on white and you can see all the stitched cuts of the quilt.

Next, I literally picked scraps of colored cardstock from my scrap bin, selecting colors I thought would look good together. I used the other die parts to cut out a multitude of pieces for my quilt.  Then I began arranging them however felt right and stuck them down using my Scrappy Tape.

Once I had all of the bits secured, I set this aside and worked on my stamped images.  I stamped the flowers and leaves using my Misti and some Catherine Pooler Inks.  I didn’t pick up the dies for this set yet, so I just snipped these images out by hand. I stamped the sentiment on white with black ink and then cut it out using a Hero Arts Circle Die.

All the parts were ready, so I added my circle with the sentiment using foam tape.  Then I arranged my flowers and tacked them down.  I felt like something was missing, so I used a stray bit of left over quilt strip and stamped the remainder of the sentiment “so grateful for you” and then snipped off the end and mounted it.  Then I was feeling like this was just perfect!

This was fun to make and it felt like putting a puzzle together.  Like I said earlier, there are so many possibilities with this die and with the stamps.

I think it turned out lovely and I hope you like it too!  Now…be sure to head to the shop to pick up some of these products. You can also check out our IG, YT for more inspiration.
