Fun Birthday Card Using Honey Bee Stamps Supplies

Fun Birthday Card Using Honey Bee Stamps Supplies

Posted by Lieschen Harshbarger on

Hi crafty friends! Lieschen here excited to share with you another fun card tutorial. Today's card features Honey Bee Stamps Wonderful Wishes stencil and the You're So Extra stamp and dies that are perfect to create a birthday card for a loved one.

I started by using my Stampwheel to stencil the beautiful cake image from the Wonderful Wishes stencil. For the first layer, I used Key Lime and Olive inks from Pinkfresh Studios.

Once I was done with the first layer, I used Peony, Begonia, Mulberry Blush, and Marigold inks to ink the cake with the second layer stencil.

I needed to add candles to the cake, so I used the last stencil to ink the candles and the cake stand. Here are the inks I used for the candles: Ballet Slippers, Aquamarine, Sweet Mustard, and Clementine.  For the cake stand I used: Ocean Breeze and Aquamarine.

Once I was done withe stenciling, I used the coordinating dies from the Wonderful Wishes set to die cut the cake, candles, and cake stand. I wanted to add texture to the cake, so I used the Linen 3D embossing folder to add something extra.

Next, I trimmed a front panel piece for and A2 card base out of Lawn Fawn's Spiffier Speckles paper. Then, I used a Shaker Pocket, added some confetti inside the pocket and sealed it. Once I was done with the shaker elements, I glued the cake, cake stand, and candles on the outside of the shaker pocket.

I glued the shaker pocket onto the A2 card base and added one of the sentiments from the You're So Extra stamp set. Next, I added Champagne Clear Drops on the center piece of the flowers.

To finish, I matched the card to a complimentary envelope. Now it's ready to be mailed to a loved one!

I hope you have enjoyed today's card tutorial as much as I did when I made it and that it gives you inspiration to do something fun and creative today. Until next time!
