Honey Bee Stamps | Across The Miles+Lovely Layers Hummingbird | Card Making Tutorial

Posted by Sarah wyles on

Hi everyone!! Sarah Wyles here, (@Mother0froyalty on IG), and I am playing with Honey Bee Stamps Across the Miles stamps and dies along with the beautiful Lovely Layers Hummingbird dies. Both sets are so pretty! I really love any of the layering dies that Honey Bee comes out with, how about y'all?! Well today I made this simple, but fun card and I hope you enjoy it!

I started with cutting all the little bits for the beautiful Hummingbirds first. I decided to stick with the ones I see around my house the most for this one, but I may have to play with some other colors next time! Once I got all of the pieces cut out I started to go through with my distress oxides and add some shading on different parts of the bird.

Once I had that done, I went ahead and used liquid glue to stick them all together. I actually made three in all. One was even facing the opposite direction. I stamped out my sentiments, one for the front of my card and one for the inside too. I also ran my card panel though my sizzix with the Spellbinders Plaid Company embosser, so my background would have some texture but not take away from my birds to much!

I added my hummingbirds to the front of the card with some liquid glue because of the texture, then I added my sentiment and grabbed some more distress oxide and added a little around the edges.

To finish my card off, I opened it up and placed my sentiment down and added another hummingbird. I have really enjoyed adding little bits to the insides of my cards too, a nice little surprise.

The final touch to the inside of the card finishes this one off for me! I hope you enjoyed it and make sure to come back and see what everyone else makes too! Make sure to head over and watch the process video too!
