Happy Retirement with a Tackle Box Full of Memories ft. Honey Bee Stamps

Happy Retirement with a Tackle Box Full of Memories ft. Honey Bee Stamps

Posted by Colleen Beamish on

Hello there! This is Colleen Beamish from @humorbean_cards and today I’m sharing a fun retirement card that’s perfect for someone ready to trade meetings and deadlines for early mornings on the water. This design features the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Tackle Box Die Set along with the Display Box Tackle Add-On Die Set to create a dimensional card packed with fishing charm.

For the mini slimline card base, I started with clean white cardstock and stamped the sentiment Happy Retirement from the Well Played Sir stamp set near the top, leaving plenty of space for the star of the show below. The simple layout keeps the focus right where it belongs—on that detailed tackle box!

I die cut the tackle box pieces from various colors of cardstock. Silver cardstock was used for the latch to bring in a metallic touch.

Next came the fun part—filling the trays! The Display Box Tackle Add-On includes so many adorable fishing accessories. I layered colorful lures, bobbers, hooks, line, and sinkers inside the compartments to make the box look full and ready for one more cast. Bright yellows, reds, blues, and greens add playful pops of color against the teal box.

Be sure to watch the process video to see exactly how this card came together.

Happy crafting!
