Raquel here from @paintsandglitter introducing you to the Hero Arts - Best Gift Ever Birthday Bundle. I will be creating a trio of cards featuring this amazing collection.
My card bases will all be top folding A2 cards with white 300gsm cardstock. They will feature the Betterpress system, the Glimmer Hot Foil System, foiling with adhesive, and a unique use of stencils. This bundle includes a set of gift boxes that are perfect for layering, and the matching stencils allow you to add even more flair!
I began by using the Wrap it Up letterpress foil plates. Using the Spellbinders Betterpress system, I added the images onto a piece of white cardstock using Lisa Horton interference ink. The result was a fabulous shimmer.
Next, I used the same foil plates with the Glimmer Hot Foiling Machine. This allows the same images to be transferred onto paper, only this time, I used gold foil and the heat of the base plate to do so. The result is not only stunning, but looks quite professional. To match the images, I also heat embossed all of the stamped sentiments using Wow embossing powder in gold.
Using Catherine Pooler inks and the layering stencils I added color to the pressed and foiled gift boxes. With a dab of an adhesive pen through the stencil, I also applied gold foil onto gift boxes, resulting in really fun textures and details! The matching dies helped me cut out all of the colorful boxes, sentiments, and even little accent bows and tags.
To assemble each card, I selected matting layers in bright yellow, Glacier ink with an arch base, and neatly arranged boxes and tags cut into a narrow strip. All I had left to do was arrange the boxes, top them with little bows, and select sentiments and pearls for a darling finish. My video tutorial shows you this exclusive bundle in detail.
