"Home Is" Art Journal Page

Posted by Nina Craftina on

Hi crafty friends, Nina here creating a heart-warming art journal about Home!

I started by creating the background for that I used a very light wash of blue watercolors and then with the Leafy Squares Stencil I created a more fun leafy texture on top of that wash. For that I blended with Finger Sponge Dauber and 2 shades of Archival Inks Mermaid Lagoon & Faded Jeans.

I created the Birdhouse from the adorable Lawn Fawn Birdhouse Magic Iris Add-on from Lawn Fawn Raspberry Cardstock and the accessories of the house from white cardstock.

I also diecut the large bird from the same Birdhouse Die Set and the small bird is from the Shadow box Park add-on. I also cut many leaves and flowers and created my own big fence to complete the scene.

Using Oliver's Stitched ABC dieset I cut the letters to spell the word HOME, I cut two from each letter and glued them together to give some fun dimension.

I finished the sentiment with small letters of different stamps and glued everything with Nuvo Adhesive and added shadows with light copic grey color and finally added some shine with White Gel Pen.

I hope you enjoyed this art journal page, below is a step by step video for creating it, hope you enjoy it!
