Honey Bee Stamps- Lovely Layers Candy Cane-Christmas Card

Honey Bee Stamps- Lovely Layers Candy Cane-Christmas Card

Posted by Irene Mejia on

Hello, crafty friends! Irene here with my first blog post for Scrapbook Pal. Today's project features the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers Candy Cane.

I used patterned paper from my stash for this project. I suggest any Honey Bee Stamps paper pads if you have difficulty selecting different prints. They coordinate well and are easy to mix and match.
I selected three prints and trimmed one to A2 size, one to 4.75 x 3.5, and the smallest to 4.25 x 3 inch. I centered and adhered each one with Bearly Arts Craft Glue.

I die-cut the candy cane layers in white cardstock. I inked the back layer with Catherine Pooler Cotton Candy ink, then the second layer in Rockin' Red. I glued all the layers and added highlights with a white gel pen. Next, I used Ranger Glossy Accents all over the completed candy cane and set it aside to dry.
I cut two pine branch pieces (included in the die set) in the light green card stock and one bow piece in white cardstock. I inked the bow in Rockin' Red ink, then added Stickles Glitter Glue Unicorn for some sparkle.

To assemble, I glued one candy cane directly to the card background, then added the second candy cane with foam tape. I layered the pine branches and bow over both candy canes with glue. For the sentiment, I stamped Merry Christmas from the Honey Bee Stamps Mini Messages Holiday stamp set in Hoodie Catherine Pooler Ink. I die cut the sentiment with Honey Bee Stamps Mini Messages Banners Honey Cuts.

I hope this project inspired you! Have a great week!
