Honey Bee Stamps Sweet Spring Mice by Kelly

Posted by ScrapbookPal Inc on

Hi Friends! Kelly here. Let me start off by saying I'm not a huge fan of critter stamps. BUT not because I don't think they are cute. It's because I struggle with them creatively making scenes. HOWEVER this "Sweet Spring Mice" set from Honey Bee is OVERLY ADORABLE & easy to create with. The images are perfectly sized & designed so they are perfect alone or together.

So for today's card I liked the images so much I made 2 of the same cards, lol.I started off stamping the mouse image (2x) holding the flowers to the side with Memento Tuxedo black ink.

And the "miss you" & "friend" sentiments.

Then I colored them using copics:

Grays:

C00, C0, C2, C4

Pinks:

RV000,RV10,RV42

Teals:

BG11, BG53,BG45 and a wee bit of yellow Y15,Y19

Then I cut them all out with the dies & I then used Alcohol inks for my panels. I used Laguna  with a Pearl Mixative on 1 sheet of Yupo which allowed me 2 tags. 1 is darker than the other.

I used a stitched tags die to cut my tags & stacked them 2 high & glued together. I then die cut the ground using a border die.

Then I added foam tape to the back of my images & adhered them to the tag.

I added some black thread for the top.

Set them aside & then I used

PinkFresh Studio blanket stitched frame die to die cut my panel.

The Gina K Master Layouts 1 smaller rectangle die is the perfect size to fit on top of the blanket stitch frame. So I die cut another white panel. I used my Sizzix Cobblestone Embossing Folder to Emboss that for some background texture. Then I glued that to the blanket stitch piece. Mounted that onto an A2 card base.

Now Im ready for my focal piece (the tag)

I played around with the layout, straight, tilted, straight, tilted, left side, right side, lol. After much deliberation myself & my daughter decided on tilting it left for both cards.

I glued that down and added some clear iridescent gems and some white gel pen marks.

That's it. I hope you like them & thanks so much for stopping by. I highly recommend this set for critter lovers & flower lovers as well (like myself).

Have a wonderful day 💗

OH I made 1 more from an extra Alcohol Ink rainbow panel I had in my scraps bin.

I really love this set🐭❤
