Hello everyone,
Ciara here from @CiaraTDesigns
Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out this lovely project, let’s jump right into how it was made.
I started by cutting down my cardstock to 1/4 inch smaller than the A2 sized base for the panel I plan to ink blend on and 1/8th of an inch smaller than the A2 sized base for my black matte that will frame the blended panel.
I used three colours of Distress Oxide ink in Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade and blended between them until I was happy with how the blend looked, I then White heat embossed the little cupcake stamp from the Honey Bee Stamps Birthday Candles VGCB add on stamp set, and flicked on a little splatter for added interest.
Next, I stamped out the same Cupcake image on some copic safe paper in copic safe ink and coloured each cupcake in to match the background, YR04and YR07 for the orange, Y13 and Y15 for the yellow, and RV04 and RV06 for the pink icing. For the cupcake tins I used N3 and N5 and for the candle I used 100 for the base and YR04 and Y13 for the flames. Once everything was coloured I used the matching dies to cut out the cute images and added some white gel pen for added highlights.
Now all thats left is to adhere everything down and add a sentiment, I used a banner stamp and happy birthday sentiment from the same Honey Bee stamp set and die-cut out the banner after which heat embossing the sentiment on some matching black cardstock, I adhered the banner under the cupcakes to give the illusion the cupcakes are sitting on the banner and not just floating in the air I also added a few Glacier gems for some a little extra shimmer and shine across the card. I am pretty happy with how this card turned out and I hope you enjoyed seeing it come together!!
Thank you so much for taking this quick look at how this card came together. If you would like a more in-depth look please check out the video below, I also have a complete supplies list in case you want to know exactly what I used. I hope to see you again very soon!!
