Hugs For You! Box Card by Beata

Hugs for you!  Hi crafty friends! It’s Beata June here, and I’m sharing how to make this adorable boxcard featuring the My Favorite Things This Hug’s For You stamp and coordinating die sets.

To make this card, first I stamped the bears, penguins and Christmas trees from the My Favorite Things This Hug’s For You stamp set onto white cardstock using a misti stamping tool and Gina K. Designs obsidian amalgam ink.  I colored the stamped images with copic markers and added white highlights using a white gel pen.

Bears: E40, E41, E42, E43

Blue hats/scarves: B18, B21, B23, B24

Pink hat/scarf: RV10, RV11, RV19, RV04, RV06, RV85

Green hat, scarf, trees: G000, G00, G02, GO5, G17

Penguins: W1, W3, W5, W6, W7, C00, C0, C1, YR04, YR12

Teddy bear:  E31, E33, E35, E77

Puff on top of hats: C00, C0, C1, C3

Then, I cut out my colored images with the My Favorite Things This Hugs For You Dienamics.

Next, I cut out my boxcard components from white cardstock. I cut out the large rectangle for my background and 3 of the inserts from the My Favorite Things Outside the Box dienamics.  Then I cut out the base and small stitched rectangle for my sentiment using the My Favorite Things Outside the Box Low Profile Add-On dienamics.

I glued together the base and inserts for my boxcard, and then glued the bears onto the inserts using a Lawn Fawn glue tube.

Then I took the large rectangle for my background that I previously die cut and used Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Blender Brushes to blend the following Ranger Ink Distress Oxides:  Spun sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, and Wilted Violet.

I splattered the blended background with water and white paint.  Then I glued it onto the back of my boxcard base using a Lawn Fawn glue tube.

To finish my card, I took the small stitched rectangle I previously die cut, and blended it with Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, and Wilted Violet Ranger Ink Distress Oxides using Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Blender Brushes.  Then I stamped on the “This Hug’s For You sentiment using Gina K. Designs obsidian amalgam ink and added white dots with a white gel pen.   I glued the sentiment strip onto the front of my boxcard base, added a penguin to each side of the sentiment, and added a Christmas tree to each side of my blue hat bear using a Lawn Fawn glue tube

Thanks for following along on how I made this boxcard. I love these adorable huggable bears and penguins!  You can find all the supplies you need to make this card over at the scrapbookpal.com shop!
