Lawn Fawn Flippin’ Awesome Christmas Gift Card Holder

Lawn Fawn’s Christmas Critters are here to share a holiday message and a gift card! Learn how to create an interactive waterfall card with Lawn Fawn’s Flippin’ Awesome die with a special gift card holder using Lawn Fawn’s Diagonal Gift Card Holder.

Instructions -

To create the flip mechanism:

1. Die cut the flipping mechanism, four large squares, and four small squares included in the die set. I also cut two extra small squares to use later as snow.

2.Die cut the diagonal pocket and its decorative panel, however, partial die cut the panel so that it is a quarter inch longer. I also cut an extra one for snow.

3.Fold the flipping mechanism both backward and forward along all of the score lines on the mechanism to make it flexible.

4.Fold the mechanism in half with the pull tab behind, and the side tabs in front.

5.Fold the side tabs back around the pull tab side behind it.

6.Add strong adhesive to the back of the two side tabs and adhere it to a decorative panel such as the scallop rectangle included in the Flippin’ Awesome Add-on set.

7.Add adhesive to one of the large squares and adhere to the top of the flipping mechanism where there is no crease line, lining it up straight with the first crease.

8.Add adhesive between the other crease lines (a total of three spaces).

9.Adhere each of the other large squares in a row, lining each one up to a crease line.

To add the diagonal gift card holder:

1.Fold the gift card holder along the scored lines.

2.Add adhesive to each of the three tabs created by the folds.

3.Pull the tab on the flipping mechanism to its fully open position.

4.Place the gift card holder on the final opening, making sure to tuck a small amount of it under the last square panel. This will help the mechanism pull smoothly rather than being stopped by the extra paper.

To decorate the flip mechanism and gift card holder:

1.Adhere a decorative pull tab onto the pull tab portion of the flipping mechanism if desired. Add one behind the pull tab, if desired, to reinforce the tab. If using the decorative tab with the hole, add twine through the hole if desired.

2.Create a scene using the small stitched squares, adhering one to each of the larger squares.

3.Die cut four white snow hills out of white small stitched squares and adhere to the full small stitched square.

4.Embellish each scene, such as adding pine trees.

5.Die cut a snow hill for the gift card’s decorative panel and adhere to the panel.

6.Die cut (or stamp) a “To:” and “From:” sentiment onto the top of the decorative panel.

7.Embellish the gift card panel, such as with pine trees.

8.Add the gift card’s decorative panel, also tucking it in slightly under the last square panel.

9.Stamp, color, and die cut four animal images and four speech bubbles.

10.Stamp each portion of the sentiment into each speech bubble.

11.Adhere one animal and one speech bubble to each of the four scenes.

12.Adhere the entire panel to the front of a folded notecard.

13.Add twine or other embellishments to the notecard as desired.
