Hey crafty friends! This is Amanda from Twiddler’s Nook sharing a super adorable bird themed card featuring some dies and sentiment stamps from My Favorite Things!
To start my card, I cut apart my Birds of a Feather dies and organized them for the parts of the birds they cut out. That way if I had multiple of the same color I could cut the pieces at the same time. Also, these dies are small and it was hard to decipher so I wrote on a piece of paper attached to my magnet sheet so I could keep it straight in the future.
I cut all of my pieces from various cardstock colors and used my Bearly Arts liquid glue to adhere them all together. This also goes for the birdhouse from Home Tweet Home that I added to the scene.
I laid everything out on my card front to see how it would fit. Making sure there was room for my sentiments and the design was balanced, then I switched to figuring out my background. At first I was going to blend distress oxides but I decided to play with patterned paper first. I found this awesome Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes paper in my stash and thought it was perfect!
To fill in the background I die cut some clouds using the dies from Sprinkling You With Love. I stamped and heat embossed two sentiments from Tweet Greetings and trimmed them into strips.
Next, I assembled everything together. The background went on a card base and then I used the bird and birdhouse images as guides where to add my clouds before attaching those with a combination of liquid glue and foam squares. Finally I added the sentiment strips with foam strips and this card is all finished.
These dies have some really tiny pieces and I was daunted at first, but organizing the dies and taking my time made this card a ton of fun to create! I look forward to a whole rainbow of these birds next!
I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

I would love to buy the small birds, and can’t find a way to purchase them. How can I do this.
