Hello crafty friends! Lieschen here excited to bring you some fun crafting inspiration from Spellbinders. Today's card is all about dry embossing, die cutting, and hot foiling. Spellbinders has a new beautiful floral die called Anemones that makes any die cutting project a beautiful one.
To begin, I created a slimline card base measuring 7 x 8½, with scoring at 3½. Then, I trimmed another piece measuring 3¼ x 8¼ to use as the front panel of the card.
Next, I used one of the Inside Card Glimmer Sentiments with Gold Glimmer foil and placed it in the center of the front panel. Then I ran it through my die cutting machine using the hot foil system.
Once I was done hot foiling the sentiment, I used the Origami Folds 3D embossing folder. I only did partial dry embossing on the top and bottom of the front panel to showcase the sentiment that I had already hot foiled.
Now it's time for another fun part of making this card: die cutting using the Anemones dies using color cardstock, vellum, and metallic cardstock.
Once I was done with the die cutting and gluing all the pieces together, it was time to add some foam adhesive to add dimension and begin assembling the card.
I still wanted to add a little something to the flowers, so I used some Liquid Pearls to give a bit of extra shine to the center of the flowers.
To finish the card, I paired it with a matching envelope and now it's ready to be sent to a loved one!
I hope today's card has given you some fun inspiration to do something fun and creative today. Have an awesome day! See you next time with some more crafty inspiration!
