Hi crafters!
Welcome back to ScrapbookPal.com! Today I bring you a fun card using the Butterfly Splatter and Tangled Threads Betterpress plate and dies from the new Spellbinders Beautifully Imperfect collection.

Using Lisa Horton Interference Inks along with the Betterpress system I will create the focal image of my 4.25”x5.5” top-folding card. I applied three colors of ink using a foam applicator in each quadrant of the butterfly, so as to create a graduated color effect. The metallic shine of the ink makes it look so vibrant! Making sure to adhere the paper carefully to the Betterpress plate, you can reapply the ink if needed.

I also cut into the same panel using a piercing die from Tangled Threads. This will make the card look as if it has been hand-stitched. I cut the varied threads in pink, orange, and blue, and also used the matching inks left on the foam pads to color these as well as the edges of the main panel after cutting it down to 4”x 5.25”. Finally, using a bright fuchsia matting layer both on the front an inside the card helps to finish this card in a matching vibrant hue. The sentiment is also layered using dimensional adhesives to create a slight shadow among the tangles of faux thread.
