Spellbinders Holiday Blooms Card by Kreative Kinship

Spellbinders Holiday Blooms Card by Kreative Kinship

Posted by ScrapbookPal Inc on

Hello friends! It’s Michele and Maureen again from Kreative Kinship here to share a card we created using some gorgeous new Christmas-themed products from Spellbinders. We love all things flowers and the Holiday Blooms die set doesn’t disappoint!

To begin our project, we die cut all the floral & foliage images from mid-weight white cardstock.

Some low-tack tape was adhered all over the back of the die cuts to temporarily keep them inside their negative pieces.  We find this method is easier for us to ink-blend small die cuts.  Color was added to the die cuts using various dye inks and blender brushes.

All the layering die cut floral pieces were assembled and adhered with liquid glue.

The sentiment was foiled onto white cardstock and cut out using the coordinating dies.

To create the background, several of the Essential Glimmer Ovals were nested and taped together on the back. They were foiled with gold foil using our Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Machine onto a panel of white cardstock measuring 3-3/4” x 5”.  The Diamonetta Background foil plate was used to foil gold onto a piece of white cardstock measuring 1-1/4” x 5” which was then ink blended with teal dye ink.

The teal foiled background was adhered over the left side of the foiled ovals panel. A thin strip of gold mirror cardstock was adhered over the seam of the two foiled background pieces. The floral elements were arranged and adhered to the card front using liquid glue.

The sentiment was adhered to the lower right corner of the panel with foam adhesive. The entire card panel was adhered to the front of a white side-folding A2 card base.

To add some finishing touches, dimensional drops were used to add dots to the center of the pink flowers.

We hope you were inspired by our Christmas in July project today and that you’ll stop back soon.

Crafty hugs!

Michele and Maureen
