Hi Crafters!
Raquel here from @paintsandglitter. Today I am so happy to bring you a new Honey Bee Stamps card tutorial! It features dies and stamps from the Lovely Layers: Coffee Cup collection. If you’re a coffee or Frappuccino lover, you will absolutely love this collection! Fruity drinks are all the rage, so I made a Strawberry Frappé.
To begin, I cut all the pretty papers, starting with pink cardstock, vellum, and acetate for the cup. As well as a pretty silver straw. On my focal point pink drink layer, I applied Nuvo Glimmer paste in moonstone for an epic shine!! After all, this has to look frosty! My card base is a 5”x7” portrait style, topped with a pink matting layer, and a 4.75”x 6.75” piece of watercolor for a fun splashy background. To help me make this vibrant, I reached for the Opal Blush Shimmer Interference ink from Lisa Horton. This was super easy to apply using a piece of acetate, and a sprinkle of water. Watch my video to see how I made the drink “rings”!

Once my background was complete, I strategically layered my drink pieces and topped them with little pink and silver hearts. In order to keep the layers from having glue spots, I used glossy accents and Nuvo deluxe adhesive. I also stamped the sentiment in Versafine onyx black ink, and used the coordinating dies to cut it out of the background. The last touch was to layer these elements onto my card using foam adhesive for the sentiment, and add droplets of Nuvo glitter white blizzard for added shine.
