Thanks for Being My Number One! Hi crafty friends! It’s Beata June here, and today I’m sharing how to make this sweet card for your bestie featuring the My Favorite Things You Are My Happy Place clear stamp and coordinating die.
Step 1: I stamped the pair of elephants from the My Favorite Things You Are My Happy Place clear stamp set using my Misti stamping tool and a Gina K. Design obsidian amalgam ink pad.
Step 2: I colored my elephants with copic markers (W00, W2, W3, W5, RV10, RV11, E04). Then I diecut my colored elephants using the My Favorite Things You Are My Happy Place dienamics.
Step 3: I cut out my background panel from white cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Polka Heart Backdrop: Portrait Lawn Cuts. Then I glued the panel to pink cardstock using a Lawn Fawn glue tube, and cut off the excess edges from my pink card stock with scissors.
Step 4: Next, I glued my elephants onto my background panel using a Lawn Fawn glue tube.
Step 5: Then I cut out two sets of the “XOXO” sentiment from pink and black cardstock using Lawn Fawn Giant XOXO Lawn Cuts. I used a Lawn Fawn glue tube to glue the pink XOXO over the black XOXO leaving some of the black lettering showing to create a shadow-looking effect. Then I glued the XOXO sentiment below my elephants.
Step 6: I stamped the “Thanks for Being My Number One” sentiment from the My Favorite Things You Are My Happy Place clear stamp set using a Lawn Fawn Clear for Embossing ink pad onto black cardstock, and heat embossed it using Lawn Fawn white embossing powder and a heating tool. Then I cut the excess edges off my embossed sentiment strip and glued it above my elephants using a Lawn Fawn glue tube.
Step 7: To finish my card, I added white highlights to my XOXO sentiment using a white gel pen, and then mounted my card panel onto an A2 card base.
