Altenew Clematis Layering Die Set | Card Making Turtorial

Altenew Clematis Layering Die Set | Card Making Turtorial

Posted by D Pauley Designs on

Hello crafty friends!

I’m so excited to share today’s card project with you! This design combines beautiful layered florals with a bold, textured background for a striking, elegant look.

For this card, I used the Altenew Clematis Layering Die Set, which features their incredibly helpful keyhole system. If you’ve ever struggled with layering dies, this system makes assembly so simple and intuitive—perfect for both beginners and experienced crafters alike.

I embossed a piece of black cardstock using the Spellbinders Cracked Paint Embossing Folder. This adds incredible texture and creates a bold foundation for the card.

For the sentiment, I used the Altenew Timeless Sentiments Die Set, cutting the shadow layer from white cardstock and the word layer from black cardstock. I added foam adhesive behind the sentiment to give it a bit of lift.

To finish the card, I embellished with self-adhesive pearls for a touch of elegance. Using a craft knife makes placing these tiny details quick and easy.
