Avery Elle Hippo Hooray Stamps and Dies

Posted by Lieschen Harshbarger on

Hello crafty friends! I hope you had an amazing week! Lieschen here excited to bring you another fun crafty project this time using the new Hippo Hooray stamps and dies from Avery Elle. This stamp set is so adorable and it's perfect for a birthday or thank you card.

To begin, I created an A2 card base and trimmed another piece measuring about 4 x 5¼ to use as the front panel. On this piece, I used Altenew's Monstera Frame 3D embossing folder that would go perfect with the jungle theme I was planning for today's card. To ink that beautiful, embossed background, I used Catherine Pooler inks: Lime Rickey and Grass Skirt.

I wanted to add a scene to this background, so I used Avery Elle's Oval Scene dies. For the scene I used the ovel piece and the clouds that come in this fun set.

Once I was done die cutting, it was time to ink the oval die cut to create a scene. I used Catherine Pooler inks: Fiesta Blue, Lime Rickey, and Grass Skirt.

Now it's time to stamp the adorable images from the Hippo Hooray stamp set!

I had a lot of fun coloring these images with my Copic markers! I used C0, C1, C3, and R01 (for the ears and tongue) to color the hippo. Then I used YG06 and G14 to color the plants. Next, I used B00 and B02 to color the water. And last but not least, I used YG11, YG41, YR15, and R00 to color the cute parrot. Once I was done coloring, I die cut all the stamped images.

I needed to add more to this fun scene, so I used Avery Elle's Sunshine stamps and dies to die cut that cute sun. To ink the images, I used Tiara and Tiki Torch inks from Catherine Pooler.

This card is almost done but of course, we now have to glue things together and finish creating this fun jungle theme scene.

To finish this fun card, I heat embossed one of the sentiments that come in the Hippo Hooray stamp set and added some glitter drops from Pinkfresh Studio.

I hope today's card has given you some fun inspiration to do something fun and creative today! And I hope you have an amazing week to come! See you next time with more fun crafty inspiration.
