Hello crafty friends! I’m super excited to share with you this fun blue ribbon-winning turkey card I created using a variety of Lawn Fawn dies, stamps, and paper. With Thanksgiving approaching, it seemed like the perfect time to create an award-winning turkey for a sweet friend. And maybe this little guy is even the famous pardoned Thanksgiving turkey?

Since this card is made up of mostly diecuts, it comes together in a snap too!

I decided to base the color scheme on the fun new Lawn Fawn ‘Fall Fling’ Petite Paper Pack (‘Chari’ pattern) which includes several oranges, yellow, and turquoise.

Step 1: I started by diecutting all my turkey parts using the new Lawn Fawn Tiny Giftbox Peacock & Turkey Add-On. I used a kraft brown, dark chocolate brown, yellow, orange, and an orangish-red for the body and feathers (Paper Source Cover in Paper Bag, Chocolate, Curry, Poppy, and Papaya).

Step 2: To create more of a rounded body shape on the turkey, I also cut a dark brown small circle using the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Circle Stackables to become the chest and body.

Step 3: I assembled the turkey tail and body using Tombow mono adhesive and a Quickie Glue Pen. I popped the body up onto the tail with a little foam adhesive, and added white accents with a gel pen to all.

Step 4: To create the ribbon, I used both sun dies included with the new Lawn Fawn Foursquare Backdrop Portrait and the coordinating ribbon die only to the Lawn Fawn Christmas Dreams stamp, snipping it into two pieces. Again, using tape runner, foam adhesive, and a little white gel pen.

Step 5: For the background, I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames in turquoise, backed with a little piece of Lawn Fawn Fall Fling patterned paper. I adhered that with Foam adhesive to a white stitched rectangle rimmed with Paper Source Papaya cardstock atop a white A2 card base.

Step 6: For the sentiment, I stamped the ‘you’re the’ from the now retired Lawn Fawn ‘Best Pun Ever’ set in Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto a white Lawn Fawn Simple Wavy banner. If you don’t have this discontinued set, you can easily create the same sentiment using one of Lawn Fawn’s many alphabet stamp sets.

Step 7: To complete the card, I added the completed turkey and banner to the pattered rectangle, and finished with the word ‘BEST’ diecut in the same turquoise cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Cole’s ABCs, and a little white gel pen.

Voila! Hope you enjoyed this fun little quirky turkey card. Thank you for stopping by and wishing you the happiest of Thanksgivings!
