Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Beach Houses Tutorial

Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Beach Houses Tutorial

Posted by Ciara Taylor on

Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out this lovely project, let’s jump right into how it was made.

I started by cutting down my cardstock to 1/4 inch smaller than the A2 sized base for the panel I plan to ink blend on and 1/8th of an inch smaller than the A2 sized base for my black matte that will frame the blended panel.

I used five colours of Distress Oxide ink in Worn Lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade and Carved Pumpkin for the Sky and Tumbled Glass and Broken China for the water. I worked between the colours until I was happy with how the blend was looking, I flicked on a little perfect pearl splatter for added interest.

Next, I die-cut three of the house on stilts in some fun coloured cardstock from my stash and adhered all the layers. Once my three 3 houses were built I stamped my sentiment in the lower right corner and started building the card. I used a mix of liquid glue and thin 3D foam squares for a little added dimension. For a bit more added interest I used a white gel pen and added highlights to the water and to the houses.

I am pretty happy with how this card turned out and I hope you enjoyed seeing it come together!!

Thank you so much for taking this quick look at how this card came together. If you would like a more in-depth look please check out the video below, I also have a complete supplies list in case you want to know exactly what I used. I hope to see you again very soon!!
