Honey Bee Stamps Scandinavian Christmas

Posted by Deepa Robbins on

Hello crafters and welcome to the ScrapbookPal Blog!
It's Deepa @deezinesbyd here and today I have 2 Christmas cards to share with you!
Both of these cards are the standard A2 size and feature the Scandinavian Christmas stamp and die sets by Honey Bee Stamps. The grey card is 1-dimensional minus the pearl embellishments and features stamping on coloured cardstock. The blue card is more 3-dimensional and features the heat embossed foliage border with the hanging frame. For a more in-depth look at how this card came together, simply click the ScrapbookPal YouTube link below.
For the first card (grey), I tried to keep it simple which is very indicative of Scandinavian Christmas cards. They usually are filled with simple images just like the stamp set, and although they are colorful, they have a minimalistic feel.

I heat embossed the sentiment from the stamp set and stamped out some images. Since this was a darker colored cardstock, I used Distress Oxide inks in Old Paper, Tattered Rose and Barn Door. This simple design focuses on the images and is ideal for mass production. I finished this card off with some Holiday Pearl Stickers.
For the second card, I was a bit more extravagant and heat embossed a foliage frame using the branch, berry and pinecone stamps. I used the MISTI to do this to speed up the process. Then I simply stamped and cut out the rest of the images using the Scandinavian Christmas coordinating dies. I assembled the hanging circle frame with the candle and branches with a mix of liquid glue and foam adhesives for dimension. And I embellished this card with Winter Wonder Gem Stickers.
And that's how both of these cards came together!

Have a Great Day & Happy Crafting!
