Lawn Fawn Let's Roll Card

Lawn Fawn Let's Roll Card

Posted by Heather Innusa on

I really love digging through my stash of "oldies but goodies" when it comes to everything Lawn Fawn and LOVE that ScrapbookPal has such a great stock/selection of new but also PAST Lawn Fawn Products as well!! I wanted to combine a few Lawn Fawn Stamp Sets to create a card today!

I absolutely love sushi and really miss going to the gym on my lunch break - which just happens to be right next door to my fave sushi spot - then heading back to work with a tasty American Dream Roll and some shrimp shumai! So yummy! Those were the days. The world looks so different nowadays. I won't be going into the gym until the Coronavirus goes away, and my sushi spot is only open during dinner hours - which means no lunchtime sushi for me :(.

However, I can still live vicariously through my stamps!

I love Lawn Fawn's Let's Roll Stamp Set (LF606) and today I've used it to create a fun card that I wanted to share with you!

I started this card off by by stamping a bunch of the fun images from this stamp set and Lawn Fawn's Plan on It: Meal Planning stamp set (LF1928) onto watercolor paper that was cut to 5.25"x4" using Tim Holtz Distress OXIDE Ink Pad in Scattered Straw (TDO-56188) for a fun POP of color on the background.

Next I stamped the images from the Lets Roll stamp set (also onto watercolor paper) using a waterproof black ink. Lawn Fawn's Jet Black Ink works great for this (LF1302). Then I went to my happy place coloring these images using watercolor pencils and a paintbrush with clean water to blend the watercolor ink out. For this the Nuvo Watercolour Pencils - Elementary Midtones (523n) would work wonderfully! After that, I cut the images out using Lawn Fawn's Lets Roll coordinating die set (LF658).

Then I cut a watercolor panel to 5.25"x2.5" and used Ranger blending tools (IBT40965) to create an ombre gradient look using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pads in Barn Door (TDO-55808)Carved Pumpkin (TDO-55877), and Scattered Straw (TDO-56188). Finally I adhered everything to the card panel and my card panel to a white cardbase using the trusty Xyron Mega Tape Runner (0701-05-00).

I really love how this one came out and I hope it inspires you to sift through your stash when creating your next card AND to look for ways you can combine your stamp sets to create a fun scene! This card would be perfect for a foodie friend!
