This card features the Sizzix True Love Colorize Die Set and it’s such a fun one to play with. I used some Spellbinders products from the Sealed By Collection for the inside sentiment and to decorate the front of the card, including a wax seal. I also used an Avery Elle sentiment stamp set for the front of the card. It’s amazing how all of these products coordinate and work so well together. I used the main heart die from the True Love Colorize set to create a folding heart-shaped white card base. I then assembled the inside portion of the card with the die cut pieces to create the chocolate box.
I decided to foil the “You Melt My Heart” sentiment from the Spellbinders Sealed Glimmer Sentiments set on the inside of the card. I felt this pun on words worked so nicely since this is a chocolate box card.
I stamped out the “Happy Valentine’s Day” sentiment from the Avery Elle Sentimental Occasions stamp set on the heart for the front of the card. I added a floral branch from the Spellbinders Sealed Wildflowers die set and then to complete the front, I added a wax seal.
Wax seals are so much fun and I love that you can mix wax colors. I chose to use Spellbinders White and Antique Gold Wax Beads. I find that 3 melts are the magic number for a perfectly sized seal. And since this is a Valentines card, I felt the Love You Heart wax seal stamp would work best.
Once I adhered the front panel to the card, all that was left was to cut and assemble to chocolates for the inside. There are 20 dies included to do this and I explain everything in the video linked above so you can see how each layer comes together. I added the chocolates to the chocolate box and finished off the front with some Pinkfresh Studio Iridescent Drops. This card fits in an A2 sized envelope and makes a sweet gift for any recipient.
